Students are valued in interprofessionalism as change-agents and their contributions matter to further developments. We encourage student’s submission of abstracts of innovative ideas and projects as well as your collaboration in PR, preparation and organization of student events.

Students have a special place in the ATBH conferences as you are the future for interprofessional collaborative practice and partners in interprofessional education. Students around the world have also demonstrated themselves as astute agents for change in both education and practice settings. At previous conferences students have presented high quality research papers, keynote speeches and organized student events. (Please note that students’ abstracts that are relevant to the other congress sub-themes and a wider audience should be submitted under the above categories.)

ATBHVI wants to build on those successes. We already have an offer from the International Network of Health Care Team Challenges to organize another Health Care Team Challenge(TM), following its success at ATBHV in Sydney, Australia. However, we hope for more student events and therefore herewith a call for submission abstracts for student events. For more information on submitting: http://www.k-con.co.jp/atbh6_abstracts.html (Deadline for submission: March 31, 2012.)

Two students from Australia have already volunteered to work with the ATBHVI student committee but we would like more hands, also from other countries. Your voluntary role could be in the promotion of ATBHVI and to help with the planning and organization of student events. The preparatory work can be done via email and web, but we may also need hands during the actual event, not to mention students willing to present something or who facilitate an event.
This will be a great opportunity to get or polish your international collaborative competence, get to know people in far away places and with your permission exposure of your name on our website as a member of the team.
Please contact us via at the conference secretariat (atbh6@k-con.co.jp) if you would like to work with us in the coordination and organization of student events.
